1. Akeelah ran to her room angrily,slammed the door with her foot threw her bag on the floor and sat down on her wooden chair. She thought about the conflict shehad with her mother and could not understand exactly why her mother disallowed her from articipating the spelling bee. Now nobody would be signing the consent form. She looked up slowly and saw the picture of a man with gleaming eyes and chubby cheeks.He was Akeelah's father.'You'll let me do it' she said before buring her head in her hands once again. Just then,she had a brainwave.Why not forge father's signature? Akeelah thought.She always knew how to sign father's signature.Akeelah decided on what to do.
