1. Rain was still lashing at the windows,which were now inky black,but inside all looked bright and cheerful.The firelight glowed over the countless squashy armchair where people sat reading,talking,doing homework or,in the case of Fred and George Weasley,trying to find out what would happen if you fed a Filibuster Firework to a salamander. Fred had 'rescued'the brillant orange,fire-dwelling lizard from a Care of Magical Creature class and it was now smouldering gently on a table surrounded by a knot of curious people. 2. The sun had now begun to shine weakly on Hogwarts again.Inside the castle,the mood had grown more helpful.There had been no more attacks since those on Justin and Nearly Headless Nick,and Madam Pomfrey was pleased to report that the Mandrakes were becoming moody and secretive meaning that they were fast leaving childhood.
